Fire Retardant
PowerBlock ICF is a Fire rated foam, Styrofoam melts at low temperatures of around 250 degrees
Enery Efficient
A standard Styrofoam block is only R-22 of insulation compared to PowerBlock’s R-30 for a block the exact same size.
Tar Emulsion
Powerblock ICF can have standard tar emulsion applied as a moisture barrier, Styrofoam ICF require more elaborate and difficult to apply membranes.
What is ICF?
ICF stands for Insulating Concrete Forms. Insulating Concrete Forms are big blocks made of Insulating Foam that are stacked up, braced, & then filled with concrete to create a concrete home or building with the ICF blocks staying in place as the insulation. With all the normal interior and exterior finishes which after applied looks pretty much the same as any other home or building but with the inner strength to block the powerful energy flow from mother nature and typical living costs
